- - 2015 Vs. 2023 - -
Will 2015 is very similar to Will 2023, but also very different at the same time. To start things off, we shall bring up the major differences between the two counterparts.
1) Will 2015 is an Incubus as opposed to Will 2023 who is a Dullahan. It is unclear why this is, but it is suspected that this is due to the influence of Tanya Devilfay.
2) Will 2015 has unique magic, making his aptitude Aberrant Magic. He still is a Necromancer, however.
3) Whereas Will 2023 is closer to the Liger Brigade and Antares Briggs, Will 2015 is closer to M.A.I.G. and Trumna Wintergate.
4) The 2015 timeline is not as connected to the Unlight as the 2023 timeline is.
5) Will 2015 met Sam WAY earlier than Will 2023 did.
Something to note is that these two timelines are not too far away from each other in the Prometheus mega cluster. Residents of the 2023 universe have ventured into the 2015 universe and vice versa. While 2023 has more members in the ULTRAMagic guild, 2015 does have ULTRAMagic Hunter and ULTRAMagic Desperado. The 2015 timeline also does have people exploring the Unlight.
- - Will's history, in brief - -
The two Will's had similar childhood and early adulthoods. 2015 Will's early life was simple and not too crazy all things considered. A key difference was that Sam in the 2015 timeline was a childhood friend/crush of Will's. The two would naturally become a couple when they became teens. This is also when Will's incubus nature began to rouse, which made sense given he was going through puberty and whatnot. This Will started his life out shy, but his awakening (so-to-speak) replaced that with a dorky charisma. Will was a goofball, but a lovable goofball. All the girls in their class certainly adored him and the guys enjoyed messing with him in a friendly kind of way. During this time, the fire devil Faustus would enter the scene, citing he liked the cut of Will's jib. Will, Sam, and Faustus had a blast going through high school.
2015 was when everything would change for Will. He had been studying the Occult when a strange power began manifesting. He was causing things to float in the air, he thought he had seen spectral hands coming from, and Sam heard Will say things despite him not actually speaking. Faustus had a rough idea what was going on, but he was not too sure. He would seek out a man named Trumna Wintergate. Will was surprised when he woke up one morning to a group of mages, inviting him to an off-the-books government facility.
- - The Magic Anomaly Investigation Group - -
M.A.I.G.'s mission statement is made clear by their acronym: they investigate magic anomalies. Trumna (one of the head mages) was very interested in Will's Aberrant Magic. Natural Aberrant magic was very rare in humans and Psionics was a very interesting ability to have. Trumna was very insistent on Will joining M.A.I.G. so that his abilities could be refined and he could receive proper training. Will was hesitant, but perked up once Trumna stated that his needs would be taken care of... and that he could use M.A.I.G.'s budget to buy books and video games if he performed well. Plus they would cover any college expenses if he decided to go down such a path. Will would happily accept.
Trumna would become Will's mentor going forward and the two got along well. Trumna was orderly, organized, and patient. While this seemed to go against Will's personality of wanting to do whatever he wanted, Will grew to greatly respect Trumna. Will would also meet two other individuals, Kyu #9 and Randalph Scarfe. Kyu was an envoy for the Liger Brigade and Randalph was a mage from Purgatory who had joined M.A.I.G. In time Will would gain great control over his abilities and became quite the capable mage. Things would get interesting after 2020, when M.A.I.G. would begin experimenting with traveling to other realms and universes...
- - In regards to Will 2015 - -
As is to be expected, Will 2015 has a very similar personality to Will. His attitudes, mannerisms, behaviors, and temperaments match up with Will 2023. Will 2015 is friendly, kind, helpful, intellectual... and stubborn. It should be noted that Will 2015 is not as stubborn as Will 2023 and lacks shyness.
In regards to his powers, Will has Psychokinesis, Hypnosis, and limited Telepathy. He has focused on the three abilities, unlocking a variety of skills with them. In regards to psychokinesis, he can move stuff around with his mind and walk on walls and ceilings. When moving stuff around, Will sees spectral limbs doing all the moving. In regards to hypnosis... he is not a fan of it. It always feels weird to use. One technique he does like using is a quasi-invisibility he developed. He can make people completely ignore him, rendering him invisible to that individual. Obviously it has very limited usage, but it is still a neat skill. In regards to Telepathy, it will seem like you are having an odd thought, but then you realize it is Will communicating with you. Unfortunately Will can only get this to work one way, him sending the communication.
Will's Incubus nature gives him a charm that easily wins over anyone lacking willpower. It works on both males and females... as long as they are human. His demon nature also makes him perceptive to the other-side and the metaphysical. He sees ghosts, spirits, and demons all the time and it drives him nuts. And lastly, Will is immune to fire.
